I like this shot on a few levels, but it can be stronger by cropping some
off the top.  Definitely get rid of the vertical that sticks up above the
fence, and you might even crop a little further down, to the second or
third horizontal from the top on the topmost fence.  You'd then have a
stronger horizontal image and the verticals won't work against it.

The image reminds me of the famous shot of the spectators watching the
tennis match in Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train," where all the
spectators but one are looking left and right while following the tennis
ball, and the lone spectator is looking straight ahead.

Good catch ... I tend to like your long lens work.
