I can't post a picture without shooting some slides, getting them
processed then scanning them (that last part is hateful).
Looking into the mount end of the lens, you'll see some concentric thin
metal rings that recede into the barrel. Those metal rings can come loose.
I didn't perform this repair on my 500/4.5 I also have an old 300/4
screw mount with similar rings that I fixed.
