It's definitely a Ricoh.  Thanks to Don for pointing it out.

Both the AF coupler and the pin retract. Although they do touch, they do not appear to interfere with each other.

The lens was described as "Pentax mount", so until posting on here I had no reason to suppose there could be any problem, and in fact, there doesn't seem to be one. However, I might take off the mount and remove the pin just to be safe.

Don't the Ricohs have this P setting? Have you mounted it on a Pentax body and if not, were you very wise or extremely wise not to? :-)

Kostas (I seem to recall there is a slight mount incompatibility; Ricohs mount Pentax, but not vice-versa for late Ricohs).
