Interesting essay. It's always good to remember that a disciplined approach to shooting produces the best results, no matter how many frames you have at your disposal. I think my work improved significantly when I first started shooting 4x5. Loading those film holders was no fun. The 6x7 was a good recent reminder of how important mental focus can be. On the other hand, digital convenience and immediacy can be tremendously enabling as long as one doesn't leave the disciplined approach at home. Paul
