Good eye Gonz, I compliment your ability to see from looking at an image
what type of techniques were used. I do experiment with many types and
directions of light. Lighting is often what makes an otherwise ordinary
picture become extraordinary.

I often look for a colorful or pleasing background even before I choose my
subject. I do carry some colorful backdrops.

As much camera gear as we carry it only makes sense to carry and use some
backdrops if they will enhance your subject.
