Are they cheaper?
Pentaprisms are much heavier, and I've always wondered how much 'weight
reduction' entered into it, vs. 'cheaper.'
Additionally, it seems installing a pentaprism involves rather simple
mechanical considerations, while locating 5 mirrors in space with
'optical precision' and fixing them in position is no mean task!
Just my thoughts on it...

- the 670 Eur launch price will go down after a while, I think the point
of this camera is to compete in price with Canon and Nikon low end
models, not with the DS. It's a way of saying: we can also make cameras
at that price but if you're prepared to pay just a bit more you can have
a much better viewfinder.
