Buy it. http://www.cetussoft.com/pentax/x1003004/ (a few crummy old specimen photos, and Modern Photo's resolution and contrast test numbers) About the only complaint I've ever had with this critter is that Tokina's multicoating is not quite as good as Pentax SMC (no surprise there, of course). I have a couple of these gems, and one, as usual, will be in my bag when I go to work (whale watching) today. Fred
