Yes, there are people who use the fear of negative feedback to try to get a post-purchase discount this way. My policy is to offer full refund (less shipping) or nothing. It's sad that it's come to this but there's not much else you can do. -- Mark Roberts ============ Yes, that's generally the way to go. There are buyers who try to get things for free or too discounted, post auction. [Snipped two boring stories about ebay I was going to share. One as buyer, one as seller, but I decided they were too boring.] If the price seems reasonable accept it as is, otherwise return it and get a full refund. The seller may not go for a discount, and there is no reason they have to -- the rules clearly state that auctions are final, which means no post negotiation. Some will do it, but a lot won't. However, many will do a full refund. But most sellers make one pay for shipping the item back. There's really no ebay rule for that, so they do. Personally, if I offer a refund, I also offer to pay for return shipping. But so far, it's never come to that. And if the shipping was really high, I might not. HTH, Marnie aka Doe
