I believe the BG-10 is indeed metal, but I'll have to check. I can tell you that when
it is attached to the camera, it's difficult to tell where the camera ends and the
grip begins.
Just off the top of my head, I don't think the FG will fit. The attachment method is
different (and pretty cool, I might add) for one thing, and the doohickey
(<--technical term) sticking up into the body might be a bit different.
I tried to get the strap part of my Grip Strap to attach to the MZ-S and BG-10, but
the bottom strap was too wide for the BG-10 strap attachment thingy (<--technical
term). Let me be the first to request that Pentax make a hand strap for the MZ-S.
