In my experience, the "Adaptall 2" has an "A" lens setting for camera Av exposure control (i.e. it was made for the "-A" series lenses) and the "Adaptall" does not have an "A" setting (i.e. it was made for the "K" and "M" lens series). My "Adaptall 2" was sold to a list member and I still have the "Adaptall".
