Hey Norm!

I am still trying to figure out why you needed the sleeping bag if you were sleeping in the car...

I see that you enjoy the Canadian Connection (Frank, is it the Canada Connection) at least for their libations :-) You guys were well on your way by the time I got back from my 'work'.

Of course I was in bed sleeping, where else could I have been? Though the thought of just staying up is going through my mind. This would work for Friday, but Saturday would be tough since I would have to drive home later in the day.

Sounds like you had a great time in Manaus. It sounds like my type of place. Now I just have to brush up on my Portuguese so I don't stick out too much.

Now I am wondering how much time I should take off to go to Brasil; I am expected to take a trip to Peru also next year.

Don't fret the pictures, mine are developed I just have to make tiime to scan...,

First, thanks to the Owens for putting up with a bunch of reprobates in their back yard! And thanks to the List God for the humor and sleeping bag; and Frankie and Brooks for the beer! As always, I had a great time. It was good to see everyone again (sorry I missed you Sullivan) and I did miss those who didn't make it (maybe next year). Finally got to meet BILL in person after all these years, quite a fun guy. I also learned that we had a slut amongst us. BTW, was Cesar really sleeping at 5:30? Did anyone check his bed? hmmmm If he was, he should have taken Frank's advice and just stayed up drinking beer 'til 5:30.

Manaus was great, hotter than hell and humid, but then again it's in the middle of the Amazon. Really cool place. Got to spend an afternoon shooting down at the docks where the river passenger boats arrive and depart on the Amazon River. Did mostly people shooting, took Shel's advice and talked to them first. Will post a few when the film is developed (sorry, I know film is dead).
