Chemical photography will be around. There may only be a couple of dozen
dealers world wide, and you will probably have to order via mail unless you
live in a very large city. But the stuff will be there. In fact when the big
companies drop out it makes the market healthier for the small ones. While
there are fewer places to get darkroom supplies, already you have more choices
than any time since the 70's, and mostly at lower prices as well.
The only great loss with Kodak dropping out of the photographic paper market is
Azo (Contact Printing Paper). But it already was a mail order item you could
get from 3 or 4 places only. Someone will probably take over that niche as well.
Maybe I ought to compile a list of sources and put it up on the Press Camera
Website.

once you start looking at bigger slides, it's a slippery slope.
you won't stop until you get to, at the very least, 4x5
Thats what happenned to me. I would like to go to an 8x10, but I fear
that the sensitized materials won't be around long enough to make it
worthwhile.
