On my D, TTL flash only works at 200-400 ASA (800ASA) - after that, the
images get overexposed. No matter which flash I use.
Who wants a flash at 1600-3200 ASA anyway?
IME flashes with a red light AF assist doesn't work great at speeds above
400 ASA.

Thanks to everybody who suggested what to try.
Unfortunately I had tried that before..
Since that I tested my flash with 3 (*ist DS x 2 and film body) other
bodies,
and found that TTL works fine. So this must be the
problem of the new body I purchased :-(

Strange, that everything else works in a brand new camera, except for
the flash TTL. Who would think?
