Hi Peter

I have one that I use and find it excellent image quality wise, AF speed is a 
little slow due to the range of focus, but I think this is typical of most 
90mm - 105mm macro lenses. I normally use it in manual focus which is fine 
smooth and well damped however the focusing rings turn in the opposite 
direction to a genuine Pentax lens if this bothers you at all. It's the pre 
DG version, I've only ever used it on a film body so cannot comment on the 
performance with the *ist D/DS/DL.
