I use BBPro to do all my event renaming too. Select the ones I want, and hit batch rename. This feature should do exactly the job you want it to. Actually, I go one step further. As I'm sometimes using two different cameras there is the very slim chance that the last 4 digits of the filename could be the same. As a precaution, I add a prefix to the filename at the time of download (I use Downloader Pro) which identifies the camera uniquely Wendy Wendy Beard Ottawa, Canada
