I spent three years in Heidelberg in the mid eighties. Beyond living there during the cold war and the Chernobyl accident, I remember it being one hell of a place to take photographs. It's too bad I was too young to fully appreciate it. Anyway, this shop is open 7 days a week: http://www.okfotoshop.de/index8197.html?language=0 When I was there the post exchange had a photo lab. My mother made extensive use of the PX lab for 110 and disc film processing! Of course, mailers back to the US sent via the US Postal Service will cost the same as sending them from NYC.
