Whatever works best for you...

I don't have any problem with the notion of using two dedicated flash units for automated wireless operation. I haven't bought any yet as I don't ordinarily need flash much, but I'll likely buy two or three units if/when I do go for a sophisticated flash setup.

I use a Sunpak 383 non-dedicated external flash at present... If I want to trigger it wireless, I fit a small, cheap, low-power non- dedicated external flash with an IR filter on the flash tube to trigger a slave sensor.
