Hi Don,

I was thinking of all the images being of highest quality JPEG, about 2mb
plus each. That size file is based on file sizes of 4mp and 5mp camera
files I've seen come from other cameras, not specifically the Optio. My
guess is that highest quality JPEGs are about the same size for a given
image for just about all cameras. However, the actual file size will vary
because each file contains different elements. For example, the little
Sony I use will give a file size of between (about) 1.5mb and 1.8mb at
highest quality JPEG. Doing the math, we get, very roughly, 400kb per
megapixex, multiply that by 5 (5 megapixels) and youi get about 2mb per
file. Divide 128mb (less some overhead) by 2mb and you get about 60 images
per card, maybe a little more, maybe not. My 128mb card carries an
overhead resulting in about 123mb of free and useble space.

Now, if you're talking about only TWO images from about 9mb, figure on
about 4mb per image, and divide the 128mb card capacity by 4, and, counting
overhead from formatting and the like, you'll be down around 30 images per
card. Hope this helps a little.

I'm struggling along .... thanks for asking.
