JT> My gripe/query is that the presets in Pentax's Raw converter (for JT> daylight, shade, flash, etc.) always gave good color, with no color JT> cast. I bought CS2 mainly because I had read about how good the Raw JT> converter is. I find that its presets imparts a warm color cast. My JT> computer, monitor, and printer have not changed. So the problem cannot JT> be color management. It is something in Adobe's Raw converter.
it's not unusal for the camera maker own software to have quite better & more accurate colours then Adobe's (as well as more accurate white balance presets). It's the case with Nikon as well. Unfortunately, Nikon's software while giving the best quality is also the most slow and hardy to use. That's also not unusal for the camera maker own software... (apparently not the case with Kodak's PhotoDesk, I heard). Frantisek
