Being an EE at heart, I too like the analog meter interface. I keep a
few of them around, but like you say the digital alternative often
delivers critical feature advantages.
Of course the analog world is well respected here for another reason ---
in a former lifetime, I designed, manufactured, marketed, etc. analog
computers.
Thanks again for the information on these pentax spotmeters. Having
just taken my analog fix by picking up a Norwood Director (just like the
one Dad gave me at nine years old -- and I lost before I understood what
I had) I think I'll go for the digital version..
