There are several b/w systems for the 3000.  It can produce great black and
white prints.
With the right paper and ink it can produce very good colour prints.  Yes
you can see the dots if you get close enough but 16x20 prints shouldn't be
viewed that close.  Not at its best doing 4x6 snap shots.
