Naturally a Powerzoom will work on the *ist D. It's an FA lens. Of course
the zoom motor won't work - since there's no power supply for it. But you can still zoom manually.I repeat my question. Why would one want a power zoom on a stills camera?
Because the power zoom is on my lens and I want to use it. Like Hilary who climbed Everest when asked why he had done it He said "Because its there" :}}
