Lucas,
I have no batteries for my Z-1 at the moment, so I can't double-check. What I do remember is metering a scene, turning on the multi-exposure, and watch the exposure time go down.

One conclusion is that the multi-exposure function in *istD does not recalculate exposure based on the number of part-exposures involved. Cameras like the Z-1/Z-1p subtracted a certain EV value to each exposure based on
the total number. The *istD, however, does not.

Hello Jostein,

Are you sure about the automatic EV compensation on the Z-1? Neither the manual nor Richard Hünecke's book on the Z-1 mention it, as far as I know. The few (rather unsuccesfull) times I used the function I compensated manually. The negatives seemed well-exposed, but that could be due to the latitude of the film...

Thanks in advance for any insight,
