As you probably already know; the *ist Ds, simply because its my only Pentax so far. My son has a ME super (but as you already also know, it doesn't work). So far I am very happy with the Ds. It simply does what I ask it to do. And as I've said before, I like the response and shape of the body ;-)
Graywolf: You are absolutely right about the Oly C-5050. I have one myself, and it is great. Handy, reliable, takes good shoots also under lowlight conditions. It also takes a lot of beating without letting you down. There are just two real downsides, it is sloooow, and it is sloooow. One more downside, the wide stops at 35mm (135 equivalent).
