On 6/7/05, Juan Buhler, discombobulated, unleashed: >Hm. The guy was alone at the beginning, and I took several pics of him >only. I liked this one with the girl (I took two frames with her) >because of the triangle. The tilt makes the base of the triangle >horizontal and at the bottom third, and the tip is at the top left >third. Case book composition... (of course I didn't think about any >of this while shooting) > >Cropping her out would break the aspect ratio, too...
Several people have said that because there are two cell phone users in the shot, it's better for them. To me it's overkill, and 'rubbing it in'. I would have either one phone user, or twenty, not two - but that's just me and you have presented your pic and it is fabulous anyway - really excellent (as usual dammit). People talk of cliches but to be honest I try and look past that. Most of Henri Cartier-Bresson's work could be pigeon-holed as cliched, but then again I suppose he more or less invented the visual pun. I love his work, and I love the cliches if they must be called that. I love shooting them (when I get the chance). It's all about anticipating the situation and being prepared to capture the moment that suits the photographer. I enjoy the whole process. Any chance I could see one of the several pics you took of just the guy alone? :-) Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ || (O) | People, Places, Pastiche ||=====| http://www.cottysnaps.com _____________________________
