I needed some additional solid state storage media and in view of Pentax's recent change to SD storage I didn't want to be left with legacy media so I bought a CF (Type II) to SD adaptor. Thanks, Rob! I've seen two/three others of this kind of device available, usually at about double this price. (B&H Photo carries the Konica-Minolta branded version at $69). Since I still have two CF cameras as well as the DS, I've been looking for one for a bit so I can use the SD cards in all of them.

I do expect some performance degradation ... one review on a similar product I read suggested about 14-15% reduction in speed using the SD- CF adapter in a CF USB 2.0 reader vs using the SD in an SD USB 2.0 reader ... but in an *ist D you'd probably never notice it.
