The 20% who live in the higher econonic regions produce 80% of the world
food and other goods. A person who lives in a grass shack may not be
using a lot, but he isn't producing much either. Yes we could go back to
that kind of a world, if you want to be one of the 90% of the people who

Might be producing 80% of the food (I don't know where your figure comes
from) but are consuming more than that. Most of western Europe is a
nett food importer. Don't follow your logic in the last sentence. All
the nay-sayers usually state that there are no food production problems
at all. Are you saying that only 10% of the present population can
survive if they had to produce their own food? Probably true but not
neccessarily for the reasons you seem to be promoting.
Let's get rid of all those oil guzzling combines and go back to
scratching the earth with a stick. The combine feeds 100,000 people, the
guy with the stick can hardly feed himself.
And if the "combine" destroys the ground, who survives in the long term?
Or are you really so cantankerous that you don't care any more?
