Living under my roof are an H1a, SPII, PZ-1p, *ist D, Optio S and a 645, but
as to which one is my favorite? Which of your children do you love best?
It doesn't matter how you answer, you'll be wrong. Each one is special in
its own way. The H1a is the eldest, so being first has some special
memories. The SPII added metering. The early bayonets just never inspired
me to move on. The LX was appealing, but never pried the purse strings
open. I was lured into the autofocus fold by the PZ-1p, although very late
in its product lifetime. I thought the power zoom would be fun to play
with, but never have. To me, the *ist D is a digital PZ-1p, which is a good
thing. The 645 is my medium format workhorse, and a good friend it is.
The Optio S is for when I don't want to miss a photo opportunity, but I
don't want any baggage. Which one is available? none of them.

Subject: Your Favorite Pentax Camera
Hi Gang ...
Another Pentax list member and I were talking and comparing what gear we
now have. Over the years we've known one another a lot of cameras and
lenses have passed through our hands. While looking at my list I began
thinking which, of all my cameras, past and present, is my favorite.
Surprisingly, it became something off a toss-up between the KM and the
MAX,
with the KM coming out just a little ahead of the MAX.
I like its heft, its utter simplicity (toss the battery and you end up
with
an SLR version of a Leica M3), uncluttered viewfinder, DOFF preview, and
... gee, that's all it's got, which is another reason why it's so
enjoyable
to use ;-))
So, what's your favorite Pentax - even if it's one that you don't use or
use very much.
Shel
