Thanks all for your comments. Yes, the photo was taken by fisheye as 
someone guessed so thats why its "rounded". It was not possible to get 
the whole lake into the shot at that time because of the sun position, 
if I remember correct.
And no, I did not have the chance (fortunately) to swim in it, it was 
autumn and those days it can get pretty chilly :-)
