1. I have been waiting for that question. I'm tempted to wait answering, but
I'm going away for some days (shooting and listening to folk music). It is
the root from a wind fallen spruce-fir tree. The hairy things on top of it,
is some moss.
For those of you unfamiliar with the term Troll: A troll is a beast, very
similar to an orc. I believe Tolkiens orcs are inspired by Norwegian trolls.
(What I do know is that parts of his mythological world are inspired by
Norwegian and Finnish Myths). A "real" troll would never have been seen in
the daylight, they are kind of vampirish, they burst when exposed to light.
They are believed to have lived inside mountains. There are tales about how
they created parts of our landscape, by throwing stones at each other when
they where mad.

2. The same thing has struck me. But they are a lot smaller than the bokeh
I'm used to see from mirror lenses.
Puzzling yes, but I can assure you. It is shot with this lens and the
converter.

3. I've already answered this one, it's an version 3. The first one with
auto and f:2,8-4. Manufactured by, Komine.

There is a chance I'll have more examples from this lens combo when I'm back
from the folk music event. It depends on the mood I'm in, while digging
music.

Now I am going away within an hour. Have some packing to do. I'll let you
know when I'm back

Tim
Mostly harmless (just plain Norwegian.)

Never underestimate the power of stupidity in large crowds
(Very freely after Arthur C. Clarke, or some other clever guy)

Tim, a couple (actually, three) questions:

1. Just what is the "troll" creature? (I'm assuming that it's some kind
of brown-furred animal, but, beyond that, I can't "get a fix" on exactly
what I am looking at.)

2. The bokeh is indeed "very present", but is (to me) a bit puzzling.
Looking at the background at the left center, the doughnut-shaped bokeh
reminds me of a mirror lens photo.

3. Which VS1 70-210 version is the lens?

Fred
