thanks for your solutions, I will go with number 3 ;-)
It's a good practical one. With an accurately fitted level on the
tripod head, you generally don't need one on the camera body. I do
fit one to the camera body occasionally, however, to check that the
head's level is actually indicating level: I had one that was off by
8 degrees.
How where the photographic results from your last holiday trip?

I haven't posted anything yet, been sorting and culling. There's lots
of good material: sorting, culling and then working through probably
300-500 keepers out of the body of 3000 is a slow process.
However, I'm concentrating right now on some "friends and family"
stuff ... Will have some to post from that pretty soon. :-)
