12:00 PM arrive at designated rendezvous point

12:15 PM spot interesting shot of tall glass building with cloud reflections

12:16 PM press shutter release button and hear shutter jam in camera

I couldn't coax the camera back to life. I trashed the freshly loaded roll of film and fiddled with the shutter but it was beyond revival.

At the last minute I decided to give my neglected ZX-5N some exercise and took it to Philly instead of my MZ-S. I still can't believe it failed on the very first exposure. I didn't take a second body because I knew we'd be doing a lot of walking.

I spent the rest of the day practicing Zen photography. Looking at things, picking out photographic angles, studying the light etc and enjoying the company of Amita, Nate, Scott, Rick and Susan.

We had a very nice tour of Philadelphia including the Rodin Museum, a stroll along the Franklin Parkway, a tour of the old Reading Terminal including a bustling Reading Market and lunch at a terrific ale house.

Now I must confess something. I actually took a couple digital pictures <gasp!!!!> using a CANON <GASP!!!!!!> (I didn't look at them though).

Oh, the ignominious shame...

Forgive me Pentaxians for I have sinned...
