Scott, I felt like being struck by the lightening!
But also felt some consolation that I was not alone :-).

See below.

Cheers,

Ken

That's exactly what happened to me lately.

I've been doing other kind of "shooting" for over 30 years, and it is
expensive.

I already did (sorry, lady).

I did buy a garage full of power tools (literally), telling my lady all
along that these would help me maintaining the house in top shape.

store-bought table.

In reality, I always ended up hiring good hands, with the excuse that I was
too busy and that it was a wee bit beyond the capability of an amateur with
expensive tools. The handyman was so impressed by my collection of shiny
tools that he had to borrow quite often some of those to finish the job.
All these tools were gone, many of them without even a chance to be used in
any serious way, except to cut some firelogs from the 2x4 remnatnts, when we
moved to a condo.

So, the only thing I could keep was our marriage (well, so far).

Now, I got an *ist Ds with a few other lenses (congrats to myself), and must
start saving all over again to buy back things I lost in order to finance
this :-(.
