No. but the flash can be put into "M" mode or "Automatic" rather than
P-TTL.
I'm not clear about what you mean.
- If you put the D's built-in flash into M mode, independent of what
the lens aperture ring is set to, does it simply fire at full power?
- If you put the D's built-in flash into Automatic mode, does the D
perform TTL flash metering rather than P-TTL flash metering
regardless of the lens aperture ring is set to?
If so, then it does indeed have a discrete flash metering control
switch, which is what I would like on the DS too. :-)
