I believe this list har played a crutial part in my spendig a lot of money
on Pentax gear during the last 5 years!
The PDML is a great souce of information about especially old Pentax
equipment.
I woulnd't buy anythin expensive without checking with the PDML kowledge
bank :-)
To me the crutial feature of the "D" is it's ability to utilize pre "A"
lenses.

I second that!

I did almost 16.000 exp. with my "D" since August 31st 2004.
I'm glad I didn't have to pay 5-10.000 USD for a corrresponding amount of
slide film and developing during the 10 ? months I've owned a *ist D. As for
"payed assigments" - the "D" has already payed for it self.

It told me that the *istD was about to come out. I'd only been interested
in Spotmatic-era cameras until then, but a digital body that would take
the lenses I had was serious temptation, since I'd been getting seriously
bored of scanning slides. I went to the shop to ask when they'd have it
in, and met the Pentax UK sales manager demonstrating it to the staff -
and then me, too. It felt right, so I ordered it.
