There are two U.S. National Parks in relatively close proximity to

Is anyone interested in spending a couple extra days camping? I propose
that we pick a campground in Shenandoah N.P. because of the showers.
It's an easy days drive from Shenandoah to GFM down the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We could go to Shenandoah before or after the NPW.
correction:
the southern end of Shenandoah N.P. is approx 310 miles from GFM. The
Blue Ridge Parkway has a speed limit of 35 MPH and it is at least
occasionally enforced. We would probably have to do some superslab
driving to get there at a decent hour. I would suggest taking 81 to 77
to Blue Ridge Parkway to GFM. That would get us there on time.
Those directions would obviously have to be reversed if we went to
Shenandoah N.P. after the NPW.
