Language constrains thought.  That fact can be used against unwary
listeners.  Many techniques of propaganda and advertising rely on this
effect.  Wary listeners will be caught less often, but still most
likely will be caught sometimes.  Unless they have achieved a
superhuman level of detachment, introspection, and self-awareness.
