You shouldnt have any problem with 4wd. We went up to marble in a
rented car, and were advised not to go up to Crystal unless we had a
jeep because of the current road conditions, apparently there had been a
rock fall or something, its normally a rough road and you've also got to
deal with the incline. But it didnt look that bad to us, we were almost
tempted to go anyway. We lingered around Marble for a while and almost
signed up for the Marble carving workshop there! Beautiful scenic area.
I need to scan my slides from that trip.
