Could be. Many of shots of Frank with the ist-D that I took at Attic
window were unusable because of flare. The one that I put on my GFM page
(http://www.robertstech.com/temp/pages/gfm0529.htm) was the most
acceptable of the lot. I cleaned it up a bit but you can still see some
bright streaks on the right-hand side and the veiling flare lowered the
contrast of the overall scene dramatically. The shots I *didn't* post
were much worse. Still, this lens has to be one of the best deals going
at the price.

Given that I live in almost-always-overcast Pittsburgh, I'm probably a
good candidate for this lens :)
