Exactly what is it about what any other country allied with the USA which
is really not their own responsibility and choice?
Uhh Bob, you guys tie a lot of stuff together, and have rather long
memories.
Not cooperating in one area (say for example, the war on terrorism) can
have
a long term detrimental effect on other things (trade and commerce, for
example).
You either don't read, can't stick to topic or have trouble understanding
such a "complex" question. What you describe is entirely independent of
alliance. Nevertheless, I'll address it.
Being free countries, we both get to make free choices and we both get to
live with the consequencies. Neither the USA, nor Canada nor any other
country has a "right" to trade with another country. Your neighbor may have
a lawnmower for sale, but he may not want to sell it to you. He's a free
man. It's his lawnmower. He does with it what he wishes so long as noone
elses rights are violated - and for whatever reason he wishes. If not, then
to whatever extent he's restricted, to that extent he's not free. He makes
his choices - and lives with the consequences without whining and blaming
others for their choices. That's what grown up men do. That's what grown up
countries do.
The USA is not at all afraid to throw it's rather massive weight around to
get it's own way,
And your whiny point is...
and also has no fear whatsoever to use all sorts of dirty
tricks to subvert or outright overthrow governments it doesn't agree with.
Ooooh. If one faction's "terrorist" is another mans "freedom fighter" then
another mans "dirty tricks" is another mans "leverage". On this list, for
better or worse, I go directly to and discuss the behavior. I don't throw
out characterizations without examples so that folks cannot defend against
the slander.
Do some research on why September 11 is a significant date.
I'm not going to play this stupid little internet game either. I state
things up front. If you have something to say regarding this, be a man and
do it. I don't have the time to go researching inuendos about unspoken crap,
and I don't ask it of others and I'll ignore it from you.
I'm not blaming all the worlds problems on the United States, I'm just
saying that you don't have any right to play the sanctimonious hurt puppy.
Some of this falls on your doorstep, too.
What you just called "sanctimonious hurt puppy" is sanctimonious pissed
eagle. No one here is whining. We're mad as hell AND doing something about
it - and we're not asking your permission - and we're never going to. Get
used to it.
We really should go back to talking about photography, it's safer.
