Gary:

In no particular order, I'll always take my camera to:

1. The lake front. Lot's of action, families, beautiful.

2. Navy Pier. I love to watch the kids playing around in the fountains. The ciew
from the ferris wheel is awesome.

3. Buckinham Fountain. This is a evening event. The light show is superb.

4. Sear Tower and/or Hancock Building. Both have observation decks. I had the boys
at the Sears Tower once and we looked DOWN on the Fuji blimp at Soldier Field!

5. The observation room at CBOE. Don't know how long open outcry trading will be
around. I don't know if cameras are allowed.

6. Brookfield Zoo. You've seen my other posts. I've been going there since I was a
kid. One of the great zoos.

7. Wrigley Field! Buy your Cubs World Series tickets now!!!

8. The Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue). Saturday morning crowds walking and
shopping near the Water Tower.

9. Museum of Science and Industry and/or The Field Museum. The coal mine exhibit (you
actually go down into a "coal mine"), the captured German WWII submarine, and Sue the
dino.

10. Any Forest Preserve. Most first time visitors are surprised how much land has
been set aside for forest preserves. I can actually ride my bike the entire six miles
from my house to Brookfield Zoo through the woods.

11. Down by the Water Tower, you can catch an open double decker bus architectural
tour. Many of the world's "first's" regarding skyscrapers happened in Chicago. It
has been a long time since I took it, but if I remember correctly it is about 1 1/2
hours. I always recommend that as a "don't miss" to first time visitors.

Wow. That list came quick. As for food - that is Chicago's favorite pasttime! Greek
town, China town, Little Italy, Pilsen, etc. Two things you must try: a Chicago hot
dog with everything and an Italian Beef. Both are a life altering experience!!!
