Can't tell you that, I have no idea.

My theory was that this must be caused by some change in the way Pentax cameras control flash output, since the two flashes communicate with the camera in two different electronic languages. I was hoping someone had an idea about what's
going on, and whether my theory was on the far side. :-)

The theory is fine, but I don't know how you'd prove it one way or another. I'm more interested in making pictures ... If one way works and the other doesn't, I use the way that works. If neither works, I figure out another way that does.

I like to keep it simple.  :-)
