Check the pictures - there is always some variation in exposure measurement and shutter timing and the actual exposure might be quite close with both cameras. Autofocus and exposure metering do not need light during actual exposure. My ME seems to vary a bit towards underexposure so it�s OK when set to 100 ISO and my LX needs setting it to 125 ISO (with 100 ISO film). But the difference you got seems to indicate that the ME is too much off - my ME required adjustment some years ago - but it is now 23 years old. All the best!
