I was hessitant about that, but have changed to converting
everything to DNG lately because:

 - The files are much smaller (average less than 6Mb versus almost 13Mb)
 - RAW conversion data is kept IN the DNG file, not in external XMP files
or even worse, in a database like setup ...

I batch convert the PEF's to DNG, and keep the PEFs arround until
I am in serious disk-space need :-)

I use Adobe-bridge (CS2) to set conversion parameters for most of the
images (in groups, some individual, depending on lighting conditions)

Then I convert selected ones (marked/flagged) to JPG for quick WEB
type displaying, and individual ones into Photoshop itself for
furtehr processing.

The result of that usually goes into a TIFF or PSD depending on
the complexity of the work domne on it ...

Regards, JvW
