Hmm. Can't agree with you, Shel. The photo expresses tonal values
from solid black to zone IX nicely ... I took a copy of it and,
selecting inside the black/white borders it hits every value. I
suspect your monitor is slightly off in its calibration.
It's a pretty nice composition as it stands. That said, I think the
right side is a little weak and busy compared to the left-central
area: it would be interesting to try a crop.
