When waching foreign (to me) films, I far prefer to have English subtitles, instead of dubbing.
I want to hear it in the language it was filmed in.

Besides, depending on the language, I can usually tell when the person translating is doing a good job, or merely "winging it."
That really ruins a film for me.

Once I deetermine that the translator is worthy, I will spend more time watching the action, and less time reading the text. I usually get the idea pretty early, and pick up a LOT from watching faces, body language, stuff like that, only occasionally checking the text to see if I'm right! <g>

Keith,
My opinion, too. Exactly!

Cheers,
Jostein
