Toyota and Honda, not to mention everyone else other than Ford and GM in the
US seem to be able to do it. what does that tell you about Ford and GM?

Even for auto industry, where much much more money and thousands of jobs
is at stake, and the market condition is much more stable (not quickly
expanding), they can still get the forecast and projected sales *totally*
wrong.
