Actually, the MZ-S has more features than the Z-1p but it uses a totally different interface and philosophy. It updates the interface of the original Asahi Pentax from 1958. It is an upgrade path for the MZ-5n and all Pentax with the original Pentax interface; the one you find on every camera from the 60-70's. The Z-1p was basically just discontinued but the *ist's are close. Pål
