Mike,
We'll be traveling down from Edinburgh to Brampton on Hadrian's Wall
near the end of August, then across to Ambleside for four days then across
to York for a couple of days. In all of this we probably come fairly close.
Send me your contact details off list and we'll pop in if we can.
Cotty, halfway to oblivion is a town called Norseman, on the road between
Adelaide and Perth. Friends of mine broke down there and it took three days
for the parts to arrive so that their van could be fixed. Perth was still
500 miles away and the coast was 120 miles. Not much there apart from red
dirt and trucks. The local secondhand car yard had just one car in stock,
which the owner drove home every night. This was a place where boredom was a
way of life.

If you are travelling by car, I am almost exactly 1/2way between London and
the centre of Scotland. About 350 miles north of London; a good day's run -
100miles south of Edinburgh; a nice morning's run. Feel free to call in.
