I ended up with 6x7 instead of 7x6 too many times with the RB67. Rotating backs are great, especially on a tripod, but only when you get some obvious indication of its current orientation in the viewfinder. IIRC the later models may have had that.
Even worse was when I did this with my panoramic 35mm back... I did do a few deliberate vertical pans, but not many. Even horizontal pans are surprisingly difficult to compose (I wish movies had stuck to 16:9).
